Services

Provide relevant professional development and qualifying CEU/CPD/PD opportunities for K-12 and higher education faculty, staff, and administrators, emphasizing Music Education, Arts Education, Physical Education, and Teacher and Administrator Training.  

Provides tutoring and mentoring support for music education majors and minors, and provisionally-licensed/temporary licensed music educators seeking to pass the state mandated licensure exams

The HBCU Recruitment Center is the "blueprint" and catalyst for increased recruitment, retention, enrollment, and successful matriculation of BIPOC (Black and Indigenous People of Color) students at our nation's Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).  

The HBCU Recruitment Center Provides information and resources about educational opportunities at our nation's HBCUs, making it universally accessible and relevant to BIPOC communities. Services include educational consulting, college and scholarship search and matching, interview and audition prep, personalized college tour scheduling, and student and family education and financial workshops. 


Our focus for the next three years will be on students in the Western Region of the United States, consisting of the states of Nevada, California, Arizona, Utah, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, New Mexico, Alaska, and Hawaii, and international students. 

Podcast

Presents various groundbreaking topics and interviews related to the culture and current and historical issues associated with HBCU Drumlines and Percussion Studies. 


Podcasts are broadcast twice a month.

The HBCU Drumline Talk is an online podcast featuring interviews and panel discussions on topics relevant to percussion and HBCU Drumlines. Broadcast on YouTube, Spotify, iHeartRadio, Sound Cloud, and Pandora, the HBCU Drumline Talk focuses on the historical culture of HBCU Marching Band Drumlines and Percussion Ensembles, teaching, compositional, and performance styles, and instructional and pedagogical content.


The founders and hosts of the HBCU Drumline Talk are Virginia State University alums Mr. Ricardo Reese ( Co-Owner and COO of Prodigious Music Concepts, LLC and The HBCU Recruitment Center) and Mr. Elisha Powell (Owner and CEO of GoPercussion). 

A Facebook/Social Media Blog presenting helpful music education, general education, and self-care/motivation tips

Rhythm and Reading is an innovative literacy program geared towards improving children's reading and literacy skills in grades PreK-6, especially in underserved and underrepresented communities. The program integrates music and reading instruction to engage and motivate student learning and foster student achievement.
